West Herts Conservation Volunteers is a voluntary group working on hands-on nature conservation while also meeting new people and having a great time! We work on a great variety of local projects in multiple locations, working throughout West Herts and beyond. Most of our work relates to creating or sustaining wildlife and plant habitat, both in the countryside and in villages and towns. We usually retire to the local pub after our work is done.

Having lived & extensively traveled on safari in Uganda & Rwanda for over 4 years I have gained a huge respect for the primates, mammals, birds, nature & all aspects of wildlife that inhabit our ecosystems. I now live in Brighton, U.K where I work specialising as a central & east African safari travel consultant. We are an RSPB Local Group, based in London, that promotes an interest in and understanding of birds and their habitats and environment, and supports the activities of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). We are a friendly group with over 150 members, who range from complete beginner to experienced birdwatcher, and most of us live or work in London.
